For investment firms & healthcare groups

The operating side of your investment.

We’ve helped practice owners build the foundations behind their businesses. For investment firms, that means potential introductions to Ludara clients we already work with, alongside target sourcing, operational review and portfolio support.

When a client is exploring a sale or investment, we can help connect the right people.

01 / THE WORKFrom your search to the work ahead

Support before and after the investment.

Your team may be building a search, reviewing a business or supporting companies you already own. We start with the operating work you need help with.

01

Start with practices we know.

Our client relationships come from helping owners build their practices. Where your goals and a client’s plans align, we can help make an introduction. Target research can widen the search when you need it.

02

Look closely at the operations.

Support your diligence process with a practical review of leadership responsibilities, workflows, EHR and technology. See where the business depends on individuals and what your team needs to understand next.

03

Support the portfolio after closing.

Work with operating leaders on integration, documentation, systems and team handover. Agree on what should be shared across businesses and what needs to stay local.

You don’t have to tackle everything at once. We’ll agree on the work that makes sense for where you are.

02 / Questions worth answering

One business or several. Know where the work sits.

What would make a strong match?

Consider the services, markets and scale you’re looking for alongside what an owner wants for the business they have built. A useful introduction starts with fit on both sides.

What should be consistent across the group?

Look at intake, onboarding, reporting responsibilities and system access. Decide where a shared approach would help and where local teams need room to work.

Who will carry the plan forward?

Make the handoff between the investment team, operating leaders and staff clear. Name the work, the person responsible and the support they will need.

How we work together

What will your operating team need to make the plan work?

  1. Start with your focus.

Tell us about the businesses you are considering or supporting, your timing and the decisions ahead.

  2. Agree on a useful scope.

Agree on client introductions, additional target research, an operating review or a defined piece of portfolio work. Set the boundaries together.

  3. Put the findings to work.

Bring the right people into the next steps, document decisions and help implement the agreed changes.

03 / IN PRACTICEA practical example

The work, made concrete

Here’s what that can look like.

An example of portfolio support: turning different ways of working into a plan the operating team can use.

The starting question

What needs to work consistently across the group?

Several businesses have different intake, onboarding and system-access routines. Your operating team needs a clear starting point.

What we look at
  • Where responsibilities sit in each business
  • Which workflows could be shared and which should stay local
  • What a change would require from the people doing the work
The useful next step

Shared priorities. Clear ownership.

An agreed set of operating priorities, named owners and a sequence for making changes. Start with a defined workflow, check it with the team and use what you learn before extending it.

The scope depends on the businesses involved, the access available and the work your team needs.

Before we talk

A few useful answers.

A little more about the work before you reach out.

Looking to acquire a single practice?
Which investment teams is this for?

Private equity and growth equity firms, venture capital teams, family offices, healthcare groups and portfolio operating leaders working with mental health service businesses. We agree on fit based on the business and the operating work you need.

Does this have to involve an acquisition?

No. We can discuss operations support for a business already in your portfolio, including clearer roles, documentation, EHR, technology and workflows. A new transaction is not required.

Can you introduce us to your own clients?

Yes. Ludara has existing practice clients we have helped build and strengthen through our operations work. When a client wants to explore a sale or investment and there is a potential fit, we can help make an introduction. We agree with the client on what can be shared before sharing it.

Can you help us find acquisition targets?

Yes. We can consider potential matches among clients we have helped build and strengthen, and research other businesses against your criteria. Introductions depend on fit and the client’s interest; research alone does not establish that a business is available. Use the behavioral health acquisition criteria worksheet to put your search focus and operating capacity into a brief.

How does this fit with our diligence team?

We focus on how the business runs: people, responsibilities, workflows and systems. With authorized access, that work can inform your operational due diligence. Financial and legal diligence, valuation, investment decisions and transaction execution stay with your qualified advisors.

Can the work cover multiple businesses or locations?

We can discuss a defined scope across locations or portfolio businesses. We agree on the sites, access, priorities and available capacity before making a commitment.

Do you raise capital or broker transactions?

Our role is client introductions, target research and operational support. Fundraising, brokerage, investment advice and transaction negotiation stay with your qualified advisors.

What should we share to start?

Your firm, the type of businesses you focus on, where you need help and your timing. A brief outline is enough. Please leave confidential deal materials and patient information out of the inquiry form.

Let’s talk about what’s next
